SAYIDAH ASH-SYIFA’ BINT AL-HARITH

First Female Educator in Islam SAYIDAH ASH-SYIFA’ BINT AL-HARITH, His work in the world of knowledge has been carried out by Jahiriya from that time. At the time he was known as a literacy teacher in Makkah. He not only wrote but also mastered the fields of medicine and lucha.

His instinct as an educator never stopped here. When the light of faith entered the niche of her heart, she was described as the first teacher of Islam, trying to teach her knowledge and acquire the rewards and joys of Allah Subanaf Watara.

The first Muallimah in Islamic History.

“O Prophet, when believing women come to you to pledge allegiance that they will not associate anything with Allah, will not steal, will not commit adultery, will not kill their children, will not invent lies between their hands and feet, and will not disobey you in any good matter, then accept their pledges and ask Allah’s forgiveness for them. Verily, Allah is forgiving and merciful.” (QS Ali-Mumtahanah:12)

She was Shifa’ bint ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abdu Shams ibn Khalaf ibn Sadad ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Qirath ibn Razah ibn Adi ibn Ka’ab (radhiyallahu ‘anha). According to scholars, Shifa’ bint ‘Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with her) had the original name of Laila. Because through her intercession, Allah subhanahu wata’ala gave healing to several people he treated.

This intelligent woman deserves the honor of her mind being like a fertile soil of knowledge and belief. Shifa ‘Radyaraf’ Anha, she was the lily of the thirst of the day for a woman who craves knowledge.

She taught the science of Muslim women, Luicha, after showing her by the prophet. Among the women who became students, Hafshah Bint Umar Ibnu Khattab Radhiyallahu ‘Anhuma, wife of the Prophet. In fact, the Prophet himself asked Shifa “Radiyarah” Anha, Hafshaunmulmminin Radiyarah’. It is what is said at the worship of Pedhet, the expectation of Sifat Sifa Orte, and the prophet ready to gain. Shifa “excludes,” Anaha said: Val Mengapa tidak kau ajarkan kepadanya ruqyah sebagaimana engkau ajarkan kepadanya menulis?”[Hadits Riwayat Abu Daud].

Know that the first Muarima in Islamic history was nothing but Bint Al Harris of Shobya Asifa Shifa, one of the female companions that Allah mentioned above. She was a woman who developed and integrated her mind in faith and Islam.

Rasullullah ﷺ used to visit her and talk to her, so she was among the shahabiyahs who received direct teaching from him. She also received special attention from the noble Companion ‘Umar ibn Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), in the form of requesting and favoring her opinion, protection and glorification. Sometimes ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would delegate matters of buying and selling to him. Similarly, Shifa’ (may Allah be pleased with her) honored and respected ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Shifa’ (may Allah be pleased with her) looked up to him and recognized that he was a righteous Muslim who was a good example of piety, righteousness and justice.

When she saw young men walking and speaking slowly she rebuked them, and exemplified ‘Umar’s personality by saying: “By Allah, ‘Umar is loud when he speaks; fast when he walks; and painful when he hits.”

Shifa’ (radhiyallahu ‘anha) lived the rest of her life after the Prophet ﷺ’s departure, taking care of the situation and honoring the Muslims. She died in the year 20 hijriyah during the caliphate of ‘Umar ibn Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), after much service for the sake of the ummah and teaching many Muslims to read and write.

Her decision to accept Islam and commit loyalty to the Prophet was not a decision to unfold or simply put it. He demonstrated this through his extremely enduring efforts to learn Kiraa and Kitaba in Makkah during the pre-Islamic era.

Luckily, Shifa had a truly wonderful brain from Allah, so she quickly saw Islam when there was a Muslim woman. And she became the first Muarima. The name always imprints the history of Islamic travel for all of us. Not only that, but thanks to their truly good personality and the content of knowledge and beliefs, it’s full of her making Asy-syfa as one of the characters of many other Islamic figures.

The work of this noble woman is so reliable that one day Messenger Allah asked her to be ready to teach her Hafa and some of the medicines she has mastered.

In fact, this woman was not only known as a clever teacher, but also known to her people as the summoner of Jaharya. When she converted to Islam and moved, she told Rassurla: I provided medication in an age of ignorance and I would like to practice it for her.

Therefore, Messenger Allah was excited by Shifa and at the same time asked her to teach Huffsar the Rucha. She was practicing before the messenger Allah. Therefore, it leaves no traces of healing (disease).

The prophet’s attention to this woman was so great that he had special practice in the residential complex of masseuses (healers) in Medina. Raslula looked at Ashsifa very closely and wasted no opportunity to explore religious and global knowledge from Raslula. As a result, the woman has finally become very active in preaching Islam and correcting mistakes already preaching in the community.

Additionally, Umar bin Kattab Ash Shifa has created a place where you can often catch up or seek advice. And Umar gave him an honorable position.

Ashushifa lived with great honor for the rest of his life, as he received sympathy, respect and overseer from all social levels until he died in 20 Hijriyahs. In fact, we only know his name, but we know the role of Shifa of Ashes, which was very wonderful by passing on and passing on wisdom to his community at that time.
